Awesome. Loyal. Bliss.
“Sing to me the song of the stars
Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again
When it feels like my dreams are so far
Sing to me of the plans
That you have for me over again” - Only Hope, Mandy Moore
Blake & I can’t believe we’ve been married for 2 years! Absolutely crazy how fast time flies when you’re having fun! We are beyond blessed with so many awesome experiences in the last year! We traveled to breathtaking Italy, San Diego, CA and Hilton Head, SC to name a few! Ate a lot of delicious food along the way! And lastly, cheered more than most with any drink on hand! Happy 2 Years To Us!
Year 2 Triumphs + Milestones: Ahh!! There are so many beautiful moments that I wish I could share. We kicked off year 2 by buying a gorgeous house in Fort Lauderdale! We even have a stellar pool and since we are a pie lot - 3 whole backyards! It is honestly a gem. We are slowly decorating it with our minimalistic slash rustic slash eclectic vibe! Our biggest triumph was learning what our roles truly are as husband and wife. Understanding that we have to have balance. We take care of each other for the good of our household and relationship. We will continue to grow stronger with the warmth from God’s beautiful light.
Year 2 Advice: My best advice in year 2 would definitely be the same as year 1 - TALK TO EACH OTHER. There’s nothing more frustrating that not knowing what the other person is thinking or letting it go thinking it’s no big deal! Looking back at past relationships/friendships I can see how miscommunication can ruin a good thing or simply staying quiet to avoid confrontation. Blake and I have real awkward, annoying, straight up uncomfortable talks and in the blink of an eye they are gone. We cry, argue, laugh and hug it out. We learn what hurts our feelings to try and not do it again or repair what has been broken.
Year 2 Sprinkles of Fun: Blake perfected how to sweetly hand me a beer while I do handy work around the house. #weallhavetalents We bought a kick-ass Pit Boss grill and Blake’s smoked ribs and chicken wings are to die for. Apparently, I have a pretty good green thumb am happy to contribute a safe place for bees.
A HUMONGOUS THANK YOU to the sweetest and talented San Diego photographer, Joelle Julian Photography. If you are ever in the area please be sure to say hello and hire her asap. I only have wonderful things to say about my entire experience. Okay, enough banter! Fall in love with our love!
